| Bookstore: New book links will
be added gradually to each of the bookstore sections every day rotating
from one area to the next, until they are all complete. For your
convenience and comparison shopping, we are putting links to both Amazon.com
and Powells.com for every book. While Amazon.com has a large supply
of new books, Powells.com has not only new, but some used books too.
Powells.com doesn't have as large an inventory as Amazon.com, so their
availability will vary. When Powells.com has the book it will be
at that link. Later we will add links to each book at other online
book stores.
Vegetarian, Living Foods, Health: A new
section of the bookstore now features books on these subjects and more!
Later, we will be adding information pages on our site on these topics.
Guinea Pigs: 'In the works' are pig-tures
from the Guinea Pig Daily Digest's Virtual Hawaii Kauai Day trip - occurring
in cyber land on August 19th.
Shopping: Links and searches for various
sites will be available on pages relating to them later.
Activities: We have more pictures and descriptions
of tours and activities on Kauai that will be posted within the next couple
of weeks. This section is one of our newest and is still in it's
beginning stages. We plan to eventually have pictures, descriptions,
contact information and our reviews of each activity.
Beaches: More photos and descriptions of
more Kauai beaches to be added soon.
Farmers Markets, Produce Stands and Health Food Stores:
We will be adding photos as hyper links to the descriptions - just click
the hyper link to view the image file for that word.
Homeschooling: This area of the site will
undergo a complete overhaul in the next couple of weeks. This area
to not only include homeschool coop group information and meetings on island,
but will also include online educational opportunities for homeschoolers
or educational enrichment and supplementation for children and adults alike.
An educational bookstore will be added later on as well. |

Kids: Our resident kid at RealKauai.com
has been busy all summer doing summer-like things and hasn't finished developing
his site. Now that he's started back at school (we have year-round
school here), his interest has returned. This means you can expect
more things on the kids area from him - mainly games and links to sites
with 'cheats' and game 'codes'. We will be adding a children's page
for the bookstore later, as well as stores for toys and games.
Site Search: Our site search engine is having
a bit of trouble locating information in the bookstore right now.
While we're working on it, don't count on the search to turn up any books.
Otherwise, it seems to be working just fine, so this is a good place to
go to see what's new since the last time you visited in the area you are
most interested. Enter in your keyword and then check the box to
limit the search to ___ number of days old. Fill in the amount of
days it's been since you checked last and there you go - your own update!
Gary's Motorcycles: This area is new.
Gary's rents custom Harley Davidson motorcycles and mopeds to licensed
motorcycle drivers here on Kauai. It's a great way to see the island,
or spend a holiday weekend. Independence Day is a popular day for
motorcyclists on the roads and out and about here. He has motorcycle
tours available too.
Kauai Gymnastics Academy: The main instructor,
Lisa, and her husband are expecting their baby to 'arrive' later this month.
This means that Rose has pretty much taken over the classes and there is
a reduced class schedule for the next couple of months. Photos of
the children doing gymnastics and the facilities will be added later on
- as well as the current class schedules and fund raisers for additional
equipment. We will also be placing links to sites with gymnastics
information from the 2000 Olympics soon.
This News Page!: This page is our newest
addition to the site as of this writing. We will update it from time
to time with what's new. A surf report link will be added soon as
well.
